Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AgaveNomad (the "Service"), a personal collection app for agave-spirit enthusiasts. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

The short version: AgaveNomad is a free, personal tool for tracking your own tequila collection. Your content stays yours — you can export or delete it anytime. Be respectful with community features, don't misuse the app, and understand the Service is provided "as is" with no warranty. You must be of legal drinking age in your location.

1. Eligibility

You must be of legal drinking age in your country or region to use the Service. AgaveNomad is a collection and education tool about distilled agave spirits; it does not sell alcohol. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

You can use much of the Service without an account (your data stays on your device). If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Authentication is provided by Supabase Auth. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Your content and ownership

You retain full ownership of the content you add — bottles, ratings, tasting notes, photos, wishlist items, and shared vaults ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

By using features that publish or share content (e.g. public shared vaults, community vaults, or submitting a venue/event), you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and distribute that specific content solely to operate those features. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

You can export all your data (CSV/JSON) or permanently delete your account and data at any time from within the app.

4. Acceptable use

When using community features (shared vaults, Agave Spots submissions, reviews, events), you agree not to:

Post unlawful, misleading, hateful, or infringing content;
Submit spam, fake venues/events, or manipulate ratings/upvotes;
Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its APIs;
Scrape or bulk-extract data beyond your own account's export;
Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.

We may moderate, remove, or decline to publish community submissions, and may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Community content and moderation

Public submissions (venues, events, reviews, shared vaults set to public) may be reviewed before or after they appear. Verified badges indicate our review, not an endorsement. We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted venue or event information.

6. Reference data

Distillery (NOM) and brand information is derived from the Consejo Regulador del Tequila (CRT) certified-brands list and other public sources. We aim for accuracy but make no guarantee that catalog data is complete or current.

7. Free service & changes

The Service is currently offered free of charge. We may add optional paid features in the future; if we do, we'll make the terms of any paid features clear before you purchase. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that stored data will never be lost. Keep your own backups via the export feature for anything important.

AgaveNomad promotes responsible enjoyment of agave spirits. Nothing in the Service is medical, legal, or investment advice, including any estimated collection values.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AgaveNomad and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
